I had the privilege to meet Monique Alcala on the first day of class and after class we went to the art store together to buy our supplies/materials for the course. Monique was really kind and outgoing, her sense of humor is similar to mine so holding a conversation with her was extremely easy. She is on her fourth year at CSULB and is majoring in Civil Engineering, and she commutes to school from her hometown Downy. In class we discussed about art and our experience with art, she has some experience with pottery. Later in class we discussed, “where we would draw the line of what art is” and we both came to the conclusion that we cannot draw the line of what art is. We both agreed that art is subjective and we both like all mediums of art, varying from performance art to paintings.
